asiCast: The Definitions Box Set

One of the most persistent problems we have come across at our annual conferences has been finding agreement on the precise meaning of the everyday terms we use to describe our business. We decided to make a start in trying to get agreement on some of the more difficult words and pulled together a group of experts from across the industry to see if we could arrive at any consensus. The interviews were conducted by our Research Director, Richard Marks.

There were four asiCasts that we published over the last few months which are available here in a box-set: The death of ‘digital’?; What is ‘television’?; What do we mean by cross-platform reach, engagement and targeting?; and What is ‘mobile’? Below, you can click on links to these Special Edition asiCasts, together with a transcript of each one, which we felt would be helpful. Hopefully this will frame a discussion that will help to ensure that we can at least feel confident that we are talking about the same thing when using these terms.
